Welcome to Paddle St. Johns County, a new kayak program founded on safety and education. This program teaches the fundamentals of kayaking and offers guests great perspectives of the county's salt marsh estuaries. St. Augustine Eco Tours has been chosen by St. Johns County to lead these adventures based on their reputation for safe, educational kayak tours. This county kayak program has been developed for locals and visitors of St. John’s County to explore the unique back water environments of Northeast Florida.
If you have participated in any of St. Augustine Eco Tours programs before, you are familiar with their long-standing reputation as quality environmental educators and the lasting memories their experiences offer. If you are new to the company, you'll be impressed with the guide's knowledge of the estuaries and the diversity of tours offered. Each trip starts out with an on-land paddling clinic to orient you with your equipment and go over basic strokes.
Kayak tours will highlight county kayak launching facilities and the beautiful natural environments surrounding each one. No experience is necessary for tours listed as beginner. Intermediate trips are suitable for paddlers who have paddled previously. Tours include all necessary equipment and instruction. Professional guides instruct each group and paddle along side for safety and wildlife identification. Please call for reservations, trips are limited to 5 pairs of Paddlers (10 total).
In addition to the highly trained guides, what makes a St. Augustine Eco Tours' kayak trip different is the guide to paddler ratio. The tour is more interactive and fun when there is a limited number of boats on the water. With just five tandem kayaks on the water with each guide, you are offered a safe, informative and customized trip. This allows you to paddle at a leisurely pace and appreciate the serenity offered at these beautiful parks.
